When should I join TeacherReady®?

 Applications are accepted year round for the TeacherReady® program and are reviewed for pre-acceptance within a month of submission. New cohorts start every February, July, and October. Talk with the TeacherReady® Program Mentor about how to make your dream of being a professional teacher a reality!  

Minimum Requirements

To apply to TeacherReady® , you must have
1. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
2. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.5.

Checklist for Admission to the TeacherReady® Program 

Follow this guide to help you complete the process for application, admission, and enrollment to the TeacherReady® program.

 

Step 1: Submit a completed application packet.

A completed application packet consists of the following:

  • A completed application
  • A copy of your college transcripts showing that a bachelor's degree has been awarded. This transcript should list your final GPA.
  • A $15 non-refundable application fee. (Pay Online)

Step 2: Pre-acceptance decision.

Your completed application packet will be reviewed within one month of submission. If you are pre-accepted to the TeacherReady® program, you will receive via email an additional packet of information for the second step of the application process. This packet will include a copy of the TeacherReady® Standards of Behavior, a Temperament Survey, and a case study. These three documents will need to be completed and returned to the ICL office by the deadline provided in the pre-acceptance letter.

 

Step 3: Formal acceptance decision.

Once the signed Standards of Behavior, completed Temperament Survey, and completed case study have been returned to the ICL office, your application packet will be reviewed within two weeks of receipt for final acceptance. Upon final review, formal acceptance letters will be sent via email. The acceptance letter will include any additional steps that must be completed before the start of the cohort.
